Family Time // MaryGrace’s Graduation

Living away from home has its disadvantages but every once in a while I get to make it home for something special. A few weeks ago my little sister graduated high school. Of course I had to come into town for that. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay long, I literally got home at 3am after work, got up at 8am for her graduation then had to head back to work that same day at 4pm in Cookeville. For that little bit of time though I was with my family and that made me happy. As much s*** as I always give my sister for, well, being my sister I’m proud of her. Congrats MaryGrace, have fun in college.

All taken on a Mamiya 645 AFD + Fuji 400H

Nashville Lifestyle Photographer // Noah + Arlena at Vanderbilt

So on my birthday about a month ago, I was lucky enough for one of my really good friends who I don’t get to see very much to be in Nashville from Pittsburgh. He is also a very talented photographer. I met Noah via Flickr a LONG time ago and I have been following his work for quite some time and I’m continually amazed. Well anyways, he happened to be in town for a show with his lovely girlfriend Arlena so of course we had to go out and shoot a bit. We roamed around Vanderbilt University since it’s such a gorgeous campus and snapped a few shots off before all the light fell. Everything you see was taken on a Mamiya 645 AFD with either Portra 400 or Fuji 400H

P.S. – In case you were wondering, yes, that is the car they drove from Pittsburgh.

P.S.S – Just kidding. It isn’t.

Chattanooga Wedding Photographer // Alex + John

I was contacted by Alex last year to shoot their beautiful backyard wedding in Dunlap, TN right outside of Chattanooga. I knew from the start that this wedding would be awesome. I was wrong. This wedding was uh-mazing. Sometimes you get these weddings where you can easily narrow down the best images of the day but this one was different. While going through my film scans I realized how amazing everything really was and how well the day came together for these two people. I also met a couple whose wedding I am also shooting here in October and didn’t realize it until I arrived at the venue and saw them. Small world. Their family is rich in heritage and every Kell has been married under this big tree since as far back as they can remember and I couldn’t have thought of a better location for Jon and Alex to celebrate their love together. Enough of my blabbering, I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking.

Kaylee Marie Radzyminski - You did such a wonderful job! I love all of the pictures, and the people in them :)

- Brennan, this wedding looks amazing! You can really see the personality of the bride in groom in all of the photos you have taken. I am incredibly impressed by this and look forward to seeing more of your work!

- Amazing :) The colors are so, so good. And they are Gator fans, so I like them even more :)

- AH! Love the cornhole!!

- Some really nice storytelling here. Great work documenting the day!

- some great deets in there! love the two right before they’re in the Jeep.

- Beautiful ceremony location and you captured it so well! Nicely done!

- I love that they drove that old army jeep! So fitting. Great storytelling, I feel like it was there.

- That’s such a beautiful ceremony location. I love all of the details you captured!

- Really like the set, and the story of the day. Jeep is a lovely touch, and the sparkler shot at the end is a great finish.

- Looks like a party worth being at! Got an awesome sense of place/feel from these images.

- great wedding! i love all of those quirky details!

- Nice work! You captured some dang good stuff.. and that wedding looks like it was a blast.

- Looks awesome man! Storytelling component is all there. Great job!

Beth McConnell - YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! The pictures are spectacular! I’m so glad I could be a part of it! :)

- ahh those lower key weddings! There is something special about them! great photojournalistic photography!

It’s been a while

Yeah, it’s been quite a while since I have posted anything on here. I know this. School has been sucking up all of my life since March but that has changed since summer has begun and I must say that it is off to a solid start. Had a beautiful backyard wedding last weekend in Chattanooga, TN that I should be posting in the next few days and I have another one next weekend in Jonesville, VA. I also shot some engagement photos yesterday that should hit the blog within the next two weeks or so. I also have a few personal projects planned. I’m taking a road trip with a few friends near the end of July to Marathon, FL which is located in the Florida Keys, pretty excited about that. I plan to document that whole trip on film and post it immediately when I get back. I’ve also got two more weddings booked in October. It’s shaping up to being an interesting year for me and I’m more than ready for the challenge.

Also, my transition to film is progressing quite well. I’m slowly weening myself off of using digital mediums for my work and it’s going great. I shot most of the wedding last weekend in Chattanooga mostly on film and on June 2nd I fully intend on shooting almost everything on film.

Just a little update on me right now. Be on the lookout for new things shortly.
